Effective contact tracing for COVID-19: A systematic review.

Contact tracing for COVID-19 control shows promise. Effective tracing and quarantine, when prompt and thorough, can halt virus spread, but requires rapid isolation of cases and contacts.

- These models demonstrated significant reductions in the reproduction number (R0) under ideal tracing conditions.
Conclusions:
- Contact tracing, when implemented rapidly and comprehensively, is a viable strategy for controlling COVID-19.
- Public health interventions must ensure swift isolation of symptomatic cases and quarantine of at least 80% of contacts within 2-3 days to effectively stop transmission.
