Abstract:
We present a genome assembly from an individual male Sphecodes monilicornis (the box-headed blood bee; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Halictidae). The genome sequence is 497 megabases in span. The majority of the assembly (95.04%) is scaffolded into 19 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome was also assembled and is 15.6 kilobases in length.
