Summary

Mini-invasive liver partition with portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (MI-ALPPS) is a feasible and safe approach for extensive liver malignancies. This technique shows promising short-term outcomes with reduced blood loss, morbidity, and mortality compared to open procedures.

Background:

  • Associated liver partition with portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) is a strategy for extensive hepatic malignancies.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the feasibility and short-term clinical outcomes of MI-ALPPS.
