    Background:

    • The pattern electroretinogram (PERG) is a key electrophysiologic test for assessing the primate visual system.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the impact of induced optical blur on steady-state counterphase PERG amplitude in normal cynomolgus monkeys.

    • Monocular PERGs were recorded from three cynomolgus monkeys at a fixed viewing distance (0.32 meters).

    • These findings underscore the need to consider optical blur in the interpretation of PERG data.
