Background:

Infundibulofolliculitis is a rare follicular dermatosis.
Understanding its clinical and histological features is crucial for diagnosis.

Observation:

A case of a white male patient presenting with disseminated, pruritic, follicular papules.
Lesions were characterized by intense itching and widespread distribution.

Findings:

Histological examination showed inflammatory infiltration around the infundibulum.
Perifollicular edema and spongiosis of the follicular epithelium were observed.
The patient's lesions were refractory to conventional therapeutic interventions.

Implications:

This case supports the diagnosis of disseminated and recurrent infundibulofolliculitis.
Further research may elucidate underlying mechanisms and treatment strategies for this condition.
Highlights the importance of recognizing distinct histological patterns in follicular diseases.
