    Summary

    Empty sella syndrome (ESS) is rare in adolescents and can present with growth issues. While often benign in adults, ESS in younger individuals may indicate more serious health concerns.

    • Empty sella syndrome (ESS) involves cerebrospinal fluid filling the sella turcica, displacing the pituitary gland.

    • This report details an adolescent case of ESS with initial growth retardation and normal endocrine function.
