Hypercalcemia associated with blastomycosis in dogs.

    Summary

    Systemic blastomycosis in dogs can cause hypercalcemia through increased calcitriol production. This finding links an infectious disease to hypercalcemia, a condition not previously associated with such causes in canine medicine.
