    Purpose of the Study:

    • To review the experience with single-stage primary hypospadias repair.
    • To evaluate the efficacy and complication rates of different surgical techniques.
    • To assess the feasibility of single-stage repair in a busy training center.

    Main Methods:

    • Retrospective review of 96 patients undergoing single-stage hypospadias repair over 12 months.
    • Analysis of patient age, hypospadias type, and surgical procedures performed.
    • Evaluation of complication rates including fistula and urethral stricture.

    Main Results:

    • Meatal advancement and glanuloplasty (MAGPI) for coronal/glanular hypospadias had a 4% fistula rate.
    • Transverse preputial island flap for distal hypospadias had an 18% fistula rate and 9% stricture rate.
    • Complication rates were deemed acceptable in a training environment.

    • Single-stage hypospadias reconstruction is achievable in most cases.
