Phenobarbital in super-refractory status epilepticus (PIRATE): A retrospective, multicenter analysis

Phenobarbital (PB) effectively controlled super-refractory status epilepticus (SRSE) in critically ill patients, with higher serum levels correlating to success. However, long-term outcomes remained poor, highlighting the need for further research into optimal dosing and long-term effects.
