    Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) is a feasible and effective tool for improving cardiorespiratory fitness in clinic patients. This heart-rate-based metric demonstrated patient satisfaction and improved physical activity levels over 12 weeks.

    Background:

    • Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) is a novel metric for assessing cardiorespiratory fitness using heart-rate data.
    • PAI quantifies physical activity levels, offering a personalized approach to health monitoring.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness of implementing PAI in a clinical setting.
    • To assess PAI's impact on patient physical activity and cardiorespiratory fitness.

    Main Methods:

    • A 12-week study involving 25 patients in two clinics, utilizing heart-rate monitoring and the PAI Health app.
    • Pre-post design with assessments including the Physical Activity Vital Sign and International Physical Activity Questionnaire.
    • Feasibility, acceptability, and PAI scores were measured to determine study outcomes.

    Main Results:

    • 88% of patients completed the study, with significant improvements in physical activity (IPAQ MET-minutes/week) and reduced sitting time.
