Dermis
The dermis might be considered the "core" of the integumentary system, as distinct from the epidermis and hypodermis. Background:

Thread lifting is a popular minimally invasive technique.
It is used to elevate drooping soft tissues, including the forehead.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the impact of forehead thread lifting on improving upper eyelid opening.

Main Methods:

Fifteen patients underwent eyebrow thread lifting using MINT LIFT® UP.
Measurements of eyebrow and eyelid positions were taken pre-surgery and at 1 and 12 weeks post-surgery.
Statistical analysis was performed using the paired t-test.

Main Results:

Initially, eyebrows were lower at 1 week post-surgery with no significant change in eye-opening.
By 12 weeks, both eyebrows and upper eyelids showed significant elevation compared to preoperative levels.

Conclusions:

Multidirectional thread lifting is an effective method for eyebrow elevation.
Forehead thread lifting can enhance upper eyelid opening.
