Middle-sized posterior malleolus fractures: Fixed versus non-fixed - A prospective randomized study

Summary

Fixating posterior malleolus ankle fractures did not significantly improve outcomes at short-term follow-up. However, fixation reduced articular step-off, a factor linked to worse functional results in ankle fracture patients.
