Visual dysfunction is a better predictor than retinal thickness for dementia in Parkinson's disease

Visual function, not retinal thickness, predicts dementia in Parkinson's disease (PD). Poorer visual performance in people with PD correlated with lower cognition and increased dementia risk, supporting cortical models of PD dementia.
