Purpose of the Study:

  • To establish demarking points for differentiating male and female individuals.
  • To assess the accuracy of sex determination using hand dimensions in the Western Indian population.

  • Standard procedures were employed for all anthropometric measurements.
  • Discriminant analysis and demarking points were calculated for each hand dimension.

  • All measured hand dimensions were significantly larger in males compared to females.
