Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the development and prognosis of subclinical thyroid diseases.
  • To provide a single-center experience for clinical reference.

  • Retrospective analysis of 240 cases from April 2019 to August 2021.
  • Binary logistic regression used to determine odds ratios for normalization.

Main Results:

  • Hypothyroidism Ia and hyperthyroidism Ia were most common types to normalize (P<0.001).
  • Normalized patients had significantly lower TSH levels (P=0.015).
  • Hypothyroidism Ia (OR 3.138) and hyperthyroidism Ia (OR 2.659) showed higher odds of normalization compared to hyperthyroidism Ib.

Conclusions:

  • Subclinical hypothyroidism Ia and hyperthyroidism Ia demonstrate a greater likelihood of reverting to normal states.
  • Further exploration of TSH reference ranges is recommended for improved diagnosis and treatment strategies.
