Bacillus thuringiensis: a natural endophytic bacterium found in wild plants

Bacillus thuringiensis, a key biological pest control agent, was found to naturally inhabit wild plant tissues as an endophytic bacterium. This study identifies its ecological niche and characterizes its endophytic strains.
