    Retrograde percutaneous nephrostomy using the Lawson or Hunter-Hawkins systems is a highly successful and safe procedure. This technique is quick, requires minimal radiation, and is ideal for undilated collecting systems.

    Background:

    • Percutaneous nephrostomy is a common procedure for urinary tract access.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of retrograde percutaneous nephrostomy using the Lawson and Hunter-Hawkins systems.
    • To assess the success rate, procedure time, and complication incidence.

    Main Methods:

    • A total of 51 retrograde percutaneous nephrostomy procedures were attempted in 47 patients.
    • The Lawson nephrostomy system was used primarily, with the Hunter-Hawkins system as a backup.
