Correlations between gustatory, trigeminal, and olfactory functions and nasal airflow

Chemosensory tests and self-reported function did not correlate in individuals without complaints. However, various chemosensory functions and nasal airflow are interconnected, potentially via central nervous system pathways.

- Statistical analyses were performed to determine correlations and age-related changes.
