High programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) correlates with aggressive disease and poor prognosis. Low PD-L1 expression indicates a better response to R-CHOP therapy and improved survival outcomes.

- Further research is needed to standardize PD-L1 scoring methods and cutoff values.
