Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is a continually advancing neurodegenerative disorder, distinguished by escalating memory loss, cognitive dysfunction, and dementia. The disease unfolds in three stages: preclinical, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and dementia.     Conclusions:

    • APOE genotype significantly influences structural brain changes in AD.
    • The APOE ε2ε4 genotype exacerbates AD-related declines, overriding the protective effects of ε2.
    • Individuals with the ε2ε4 genotype should be included in targeted AD interventions due to increased atrophy risk.
