[Case of periodically occurring total kidney failure (a new syndrome)]

The authors present a patient, observed by them, with renal agenesis and vascular compression upon the pyelo-ureteral segment of the only kidney. Clinically that combined renal anomaly is manifested with periods of acute renal insufficiency developing not characteristically and terminating in complete restoration of the function of the only kidney. It was emphasized that a similar case with the above described complication of the renal anomaly and characteristics of the clinical course has not been described in literature as yet.
