[The change of dimensions in bonded crowns]

Abstract:
The dimension of the crown is changed when the ceramic mass is fased. The reduction in dimension in the mesiodistal direction is greater than in the buccolingual direction when the crown is faced on one side. This shrinkage influences the exact fit of the crown faced with ceramic material. The form of the crown faced with plastic also changed; this change however was a deformation rather than a shrinkage.
