Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Another cause of ventilation/perfusion mismatch

A case of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, presenting as a single segmental perfusion defect without a corresponding ventilatory abnormality in a patient suspected of having a pulmonary embolus is reported. This has not been reported previously in the literature.
