Background:

Chiari zero malformation is a rare subtype of Chiari malformations.
It is characterized by symptoms similar to Chiari malformations but without cerebellar herniation.
Syringomyelia and, rarely, syringobulbia can be associated findings.

Observation:

A case report of a 39-year-old patient diagnosed with Chiari zero malformation.
The patient presented with symptoms indicative of Chiari malformation.
No cerebellar tonsillar ectopia or herniation was observed on imaging.

Findings:

The patient was diagnosed with Chiari zero malformation.
The condition was associated with both syringomyelia and syringobulbia.
This presentation underscores the complex and varied neurological manifestations of Chiari zero.

Implications:

This case expands the understanding of Chiari zero malformation's clinical spectrum.
It emphasizes the importance of considering syringomyelia and syringobulbia in the differential diagnosis.
Further research is needed to elucidate the pathogenesis and optimal management of Chiari zero.
