Whereas the nurse collects data in the nursing assessment to identify the patient's health concerns, the evaluation stage data determines if the indicated health issues are resolved. Evaluative data collection includes two sections: the data acquired to evaluate patient outcomes and the time criteria for data collection.

Background:

The COVID-19 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges to nursing faculty.
The specific impacts on faculty well-being, including stress, resilience, and compassion satisfaction, were not well understood.
Job satisfaction among nursing faculty during this period was also an area requiring investigation.

Purpose of the Study:

To investigate the levels of stress, resilience, and compassion satisfaction among nursing faculty during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To identify factors influencing job satisfaction in this demographic.
To understand the lived experiences of nursing faculty navigating professional and personal challenges.

Main Methods:

A mixed-methods survey design was employed.
The survey was electronically distributed to nursing faculty across the United States.
Qualitative themes were identified alongside quantitative data analysis.

Main Results:

Resilience and compassion satisfaction showed a positive correlation with job satisfaction.
Stress demonstrated a negative correlation with job satisfaction.
Factors positively associated with job satisfaction included feeling safe to teach, administrative support, and increased online teaching hours.

Conclusions:

Nursing faculty demonstrated a strong commitment to nursing education throughout the pandemic.
Leadership support, particularly concerning faculty safety, was crucial in helping them manage challenges.
Understanding these factors can inform strategies to support faculty well-being and job satisfaction in future crises.
