A technique for illuminating early chick embryos in ovo with a glass rod as a light guide
Journal of Microscopy
|March 1, 1979
Abstract:
A glass rod mounted on a microscope condenser acts as a light guide through the yolk of a fertile hen's egg. Two apertures must first be made in the shell: the one below covered with plastic film which seals around the rod; the one above covered with a glass coverslip to allow microscopic observation of the embryo.
