Summary

Coagulase-negative staphylococci, particularly Staphylococcus epidermidis, are common in clinical specimens and show significant antibiotic resistance. Methicillin resistance was noted in S. saprophyticus group strains, with gentamicin resistance linked to significant isolates from catheter tips and blood cultures.
