    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy of intraoperative intercostal nerve blocks using bupivacaine in managing postoperative pain.
    • To assess the impact of this nerve block on the recovery timeline, specifically ambulation and oral fluid intake.

    Main Methods:

    • A double-blind study was conducted on 30 patients with testicular carcinoma.
    • Patients underwent thoracoabdominal incisions for retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy.
