Left atrial strain (LAS) is significantly linked to left ventricular systolic longitudinal function, including global longitudinal strain (GLS) and mitral annular plane systolic excursion (MAPSE). These findings highlight the importance of assessing left ventricular function when evaluating left atrial function.
