Is elevated ENA-78 serum level a link between obstructive sleep apnea and atherosclerosis?

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients with carotid artery stenosis showed higher ENA-78 serum levels. This suggests ENA-78 may play a role in inflammation linked to intermittent hypoxia in these patients.
