  • Sleep behavior, DEHr, and injuries were largely uncorrelated, except for a weak positive correlation between ASBQ and DEHr during November (performance month).

Conclusions:

  • Sleep, dance exposure hours, and injuries showed inconsistent relationships in collegiate dancers.
  • Performance-intensive periods may negatively impact sleep, but this did not translate to increased injury risk during the study.
  • Further research is needed to validate the ASBQ in dance populations and explore sleep's role in injury prevention.
