Cryptococcal meningitis post-covid-19 infection: Immunomodulation, a double-edged sword

Severe COVID-19 patients, especially the elderly, may develop cryptococcal meningitis due to immunomodulatory treatments. This case highlights the risk of opportunistic infections following immunosuppression for critical coronavirus disease 2019.
