Enamel matrix derivative for alveolar ridge preservation: A randomized controlled trial

Alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) using deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM) with enamel matrix derivative (EMD) or DBBM alone showed no significant differences in radiographic measurements. However, DBBM with EMD preserved ridge height better, while DBBM alone reduced post-operative discomfort.
