Abstract:
Prevalence of plasmacytes in stromal reaction was estimated in carcinoma of oral cavity, stomach, breast, uterine cervix and lung. Possible prognostic importance of the feature was evaluated. Predominance of plasmacytes was lacking in the stomach carcinoma. In oral, breast and uterine carcinomas it occurred without any correlation to survival rates. The lack of predominating plasmacytes in lung carcinomas was a bad prognostic sign. This reaction occurred only in groups with long survival rates.
