Hospital Careful Hand Feeding Program Reduced Feeding Tube Use in Patients with Advanced Dementia

A new hand feeding program for advanced dementia patients significantly reduced tube feeding rates. Most patients sustained oral feeding, with similar hospital readmission rates compared to tube feeding.
