  • Surgical exploration revealed a right Killian-Jamieson diverticulum and a left Zenker's diverticulum.

Findings:

  • The case demonstrates a rare instance of coexisting Zenker's and Killian-Jamieson diverticula.
  • Surgical management involved transcervical resection of the diverticula.
  • The left diverticulum originated superior to the cricopharyngeus muscle, consistent with Zenker's diverticulum.

Implications:

  • Bilateral pharyngoesophageal diverticula are exceptionally rare and require careful diagnostic consideration.
  • Physicians must recognize the diverse clinical manifestations associated with these conditions.
  • Awareness of varied presentations is crucial for appropriate management of pharyngoesophageal diverticula.
