Summary

  • 104 patients (6-16 years) were assessed for malocclusion, palatal conformation, tonsillar grading, and Mallampati index.
  • Data collection included photographs, digital arch models, and X-rays.
  • Fisher's test was used for group comparisons, with p < 0.05 considered significant.

  • Narrow palates were more frequent in patients with Angle class III malocclusion (p=0.04).
  • Higher tonsillar grading was associated with a higher prevalence of crossbite or narrow palate.
