Abstract:
Spontaneous pyomyositis, or so-called tropical pyomyositis, developed in the hamstring muscles of a 62-year-old man with rheumatoid arthritis and Felty's syndrome. The diagnosis was confirmed by computerized tomography, and the appropriate muscle compartment was surgically drained.
