Myasthenia gravis: onset following neurotologic surgery
The American Journal of Otology
|July 1, 1986
Abstract:
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease characterized by muscular weakness and fatigability. Although its course is felt to be influenced by variable forms of stress, its onset in temporal relation to a surgical procedure other than thymectomy has not previously been reported. This report described a patient in whom the onset of myasthenia gravis followed a retrolabyrinthine vestibular nerve section.
