This study used Mendelian randomization to investigate if inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) causes prostate cancer (PCa). The analysis found no evidence that IBD or its subtypes, Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), causally influence prostate cancer risk.
