Summary

Adding cellulose acetate plasticized with triacetin (CAT) to low-density polyethylene (LDPE) recycling streams harms mechanical recycling. This bioplastic blend negatively impacts LDPE processability and reduces recycled material quality, necessitating separate bioplastic waste streams.
