Summary

Oregon prohibits the disposal of naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM) and technologically enhanced NORM (TENORM) waste. A new method estimates radon flux, a key factor in determining if waste is nonradioactive, using an accumulation chamber and continuous radon monitor.
