Background:

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted global nursing practice.
Digital notebook applications offer a potential solution to support nursing students in surgical practicum.
Adapting nursing education to digital tools is crucial for maintaining practical training standards.

Purpose of the Study:

To design and evaluate a blended learning curriculum for surgical nursing practicum.
To integrate a digital notebook platform (Microsoft OneNote) into surgical nursing education.
To assess the effectiveness and satisfaction of a digital notebook-based blended learning model.

Main Methods:

The Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model was employed.
A blended learning curriculum was developed using the OneNote application.
The curriculum was evaluated by three experts and 90 third-year nursing students.

Main Results:

Experts highly rated the blended learning model (Mean = 4.33, SD = 0.57).
Nursing students reported high satisfaction with the digital notebook curriculum (Mean = 4.88, SD = 0.31).
The digital notebook application effectively supported surgical nursing practicum.

Conclusions:

The blended learning curriculum utilizing a digital notebook application is satisfactory for surgical nursing students.
Findings can inform the integration of digital tools in online and clinical nursing curricula.
This study provides a foundation for developing advanced online learning platforms in nursing education globally.
