[Case report of Shy-Drager syndrome]
Abstract:
The most prominent symptom of Shy-Drager-syndrome is the asympathicotonic postural hypotension. Further vegetative signs are impotence and a loss of thermoregulatoric sweat. The range of complex symptoms which have so far been described have appeared in the vast majority of cases in combination with signs of parkinsonism or with symptoms of multisystemic neurological disturbances. The course of eight years of this disease picture is reported in combination with detailed clinical and electrophysiological examinations as pointers to this rare disease.
