A new stabilize lung approach (SLA) using time-controlled adaptive ventilation (TCAV) reduces repetitive alveolar collapse and expansion (RACE) in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). This method stabilizes the lung immediately and gradually reopens collapsed tissue, improving lung protection.
