[Therapy of paraaortic lymph node metastases of cervix cancer]

Report about 52 patients with uterine cervical carcinoma and lymphographically positive paraaortic lymph nodes. 30 of these patients have been irradiated, 22 not. Survival times of these two groups did not differ significantly. Reasons for this result have been discussed. A more invasive diagnosis in curable cases is proposed.
