Summary

Proinflammatory cytokines like tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) increase Neuropilin-2 (NRP2) expression. This upregulation enhances severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) proliferation and Spike protein binding in human cells.
