    Summary

    Vascular alterations, including vasculitis and immune complex deposition, were observed in human leishmaniasis. These changes in cutaneous, mucosal, and visceral leishmaniasis highlight immune complexes as key drivers of vascular damage.

    • Leishmaniasis is a significant parasitic disease with diverse clinical manifestations.

    • To investigate vascular alterations in human cutaneous, mucosal, and visceral leishmaniasis.
    • To elucidate the role of immune complexes in leishmaniasis-associated vasculopathy.

    • Histopathological examination of tissue samples from leishmaniasis patients.
    • Immunoperoxidase staining to detect immunoglobulin deposition (IgG, IgA).
