    Area of Science:

    • Clinical Chemistry
    • Hematology
    • Medical Diagnostics

    Background:

    • Automated coagulation analyzers are essential for hemostasis testing.
    • Evaluating new analytical platforms is crucial for ensuring accurate clinical results.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To comprehensively evaluate the performance of the Mindray CX-9000 automated coagulation analyzer.
    • To assess its suitability for detecting seven critical coagulation parameters.

    Main Methods:

    • Validation of activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), prothrombin time (PT), fibrinogen (FIB), thrombin time (TT), D-dimer (D-D), fibrinogen degradation product (FDP), and antithrombin III (AT).
    • Assessment of precision, linear range, carryover, reference interval agreement, inter-method comparison, and interference testing.

    Main Results:

    • All seven coagulation items met target precision criteria with low coefficients of variation.
    • Excellent linearity (R ≥ 0.975) and minimal carryover (<10%) were observed.
    • High agreement with the STA-R MAX reference instrument (p > 0.8) and acceptable interference, with exceptions for triglycerides and bilirubin on specific assays.

    Conclusions:

    • The Mindray CX-9000 exhibits robust stability, repeatability, and a wide linear detection range.
    • It demonstrates a low carryover contamination rate and high resistance to interference, confirming its suitability for clinical specimen testing.
