Gambling disorder is linked to reduced frontostriatal connectivity and altered serotonin function in the right brain hemisphere. These findings may reveal new treatment targets for this behavioral addiction.

  • Gambling disorder is associated with abnormal right-hemisphere frontostriatal connectivity and serotonergic dysfunction.
  • These neurobiological findings offer insights into gambling disorder mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.
